Top Things to Do While Staying at an Edinburgh Accommodation

Having been to Edinburgh several times, I’ve found that there are many “must-see attractions that are not well publicized but are quite enjoyable. An Edinburgh accommodationin the center of the city is very convenient for the Mary King Close tour, a scary but thoroughly enjoyable tour of the close lead  by an actress in a period costume.

Last time I was in the city, I had booked one of the Edinburgh apartments near the Botanical Gardens. Having tea in the cafe there is a real treat. Edinburgh is full of green space where you can sit and people watch or catch a cricket match. Reading a good book in the sunshine is a great way to relax while on holiday.

I would get a cup of tea from my Edinburgh self catering accommodation and take it outside to sit on the steps. I met so many friendly people this way. A lady from the house next door invited me over for tea and send me back with so many baked good for my apartment that I was eating them all week. You would never get to have a real Edinburgh tea like this staying in a hotel. Now I always look for Edinburgh apartments in residential areas so I can see the real city. Fortunately, everyone is exceedingly friendly, you couldn’t do this in some European capitals without worrying about crime.
